The College facilitates the old students of the College to work and serve for the betterment of their college by organising themselves in the form of Indira Gandhi Government College Alumni Association.  All the students who finish their studies in the college automatically become members of the General Body of the Association.  the Executive Body of the Association consists of eight members inclusive of the Principal who is Ex-Officio President.

The Governing Rules of the Association were prepared by the Senior-most Faculty Member Shri S C Pradhan (History) which were approved and passed in the General Body Meeting held on 20-04-2004.

Currently, Shri Jogin Tamai is the Secretary and Shri Moso Chiba is the Treasurer of the Association.
