ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION :

Students belonging to the Catchment Area (Lohit, Anjaw, Lower Dibang Valley and Upper Dibang Valley Districts) are given admission into the College.  Students from Tirap and Changlang Districts are also permitted in case they seek admission into Education Subject (not available in college(s) of these Dists.), Commerce Stream (not available in college(s) of these Dists.) and Honours Course of any subject (not available in college(s) of these Dists.,).

BA-1st Year: Pass in AISSCE (10+2) or equivalent exam. with 5 papers including English as a Compulsory subject.

BCom-1st Year: In addition to fulfilling the above condition, scoring 40% marks in aggregate is essential.

*Students passed from Open School system are also eligible to seek admission while Compartmental students at +2 level are not eligible for seeking admission.

BA / BCom - 2nd & 3rd Years: Pass or Compartmental in the lower exam. of  Rajiv Gandhi University are eligible.

ADMISSION INTO HONOURS COURSE IN BA / BCOM - 2ND YEAR :

Indira Gandhi Government College facilitates the students to pursue either Pass Course or Honours Course.  However, the seats are limited for Honours Course and hence admissions are made purely on merit  basis. 

ELIGIBILITY :

For Hons. in BA : Pass in Part-I University Exams. with 45% marks in the particular Elective Subject in which Honours Course is sought. However, a relaxation of 5% marks is given to APST students. In case of  students seeking admission into Honours Course in BCom, they are to secure 45% or 40% (as the case may be) in aggregate in 4 papers of BCom-I (Office Procedures, Financial Accounting, Principles of Economics and Business Organisation).
